Ingredients (Makes 4 Burgers)
Burger
-
1 lb ground turkey
-
1 packet ranch seasoning
(or 2 Tbsp homemade ranch mix) -
1 tsp garlic powder
-
½ tsp onion powder
-
½ tsp black pepper
Ranch Smash Sauce (Optional — but 🔥)
-
½ cup mayo
-
2 Tbsp sour cream (key upgrade)
-
1 Tbsp ranch seasoning
-
Splash of lemon juice or pickle juice
Toppings
-
Sliced cheddar, provolone, or pepper jack
Instructions
1. Mix the Burger
In a bowl, combine the ground turkey, ranch seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper. Mix just until combined — don’t overwork the meat.
Form into 4 loose balls.
2. Make the Ranch Smash Sauce
In a small bowl, whisk together mayo, sour cream, ranch seasoning, and a splash of lemon or pickle juice.
Refrigerate until ready to use.
3. Smash & Cook
Heat a cast iron skillet or flat top over medium-high heat. Lightly oil the surface.
Place a turkey ball on the hot surface and smash flat with a spatula. Cook 3–4 minutes until a golden crust forms. Flip and cook another 3–4 minutes, until fully cooked through (165°F internal temp).
Add cheese during the last minute so it melts perfectly.
4. Build It
Toast your buns.
Spread on the ranch smash sauce.
Add your cheesy turkey patty.
Top however you like — lettuce, tomato, pickles, or keep it simple.
Pro Tip
Smash once — and leave it alone. That crust is where the flavor lives.
